Customer Service

University Payroll & Benefits (UPB) Customer Service provides a variety of services for employees and units. Service requests range from providing guidance on how to process pay adjustments and troubleshooting Banner error messages within the payroll related forms to processing benefits and benefit choice changes.

UPB Customer Service can be contacted via the following avenues: 

  • Walk-in customers (Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the office is currently closed to walk-ins. UPB can be reached by phone and/or email at the information listed below.

Walk-in hours at Chicago, Springfield, and Urbana:

Monday through Friday - 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

(Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the office is currently closed to walk-ins. UPB can be reached by phone and/or email at the information listed above.)

Phone hours at all locations:

Monday through Friday - 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

**Please call your local UPB Customer Service office if you need assistance or if you need to schedule an appointment for a time that is outside the Walk-in Hours
