Post acts like a pen to permanently save
entries. Post also deletes line items when their Delete
Record check box is checked.
Posted changes are permanent for future sessions, unless
you post other changes to them.
Posted changes display in the Proposed Budget, Cumulative Change,
and New Budget columns.
Calculate acts as a pencil for temporarily
drafting entries like a “scratch pad” for ideas.
All calculated changes are lost when you exit or requery.
Calculated changes display in the Cumulative Change and New Budget columns.
Calculated changes do not affect the Proposed Budget column,
because this column displays only posted amounts.
Requery acts as the eraser for the Calculate button.
Even though Requery is the first button on the Worksheet,
you typically use the Requery button after
you have used the Calculate button.
Requery erases all calculated changes and resets all Cumulative Change and New Budget values
to their previously posted values. Requery does not erase
any posted changes.
