Benefits of Using a Contracted Hotel

  • All University contracted hotels will honor, on a space available basis, the current reimbursable state hotel room rate for University employees. Blackout dates do apply and your University employee ID card may be requested at check-in.
  • Departments are allowed to use their University T-card to confirm and pay for meeting room rental, catering services, and hotel rooms paid for with University funds for non-University employees at any of the contracted hotels. University employees are still required to follow University policy regarding travel reimbursement.
  • The University master contract has eliminated the need for individual event contracts with the contracted hotels. Departments may confirm guest room blocks and/or banquet event orders for meeting space, conferences, and special events without submitting a Banner requisition and forwarding a contract to Purchasing for review, editing and purchase order processing.
  • Hotel direct website links provide easy access to contracted hotel property information, amenities offered and services available.
  • A supervisor or higher level manager from each contracted property has been assigned to oversee and assist with the University account.
  • Last room availability (LRA) will be honored on all contracted rates for standard single, double, and king room types. LRA does not apply to suites.
