Travel Assistance

University of Illinois System employees have access to three travel assistance programs provided at no cost as part of employee benefits. Travelers are encouraged to review the programs to determine if the features offered are satisfactory for their particular needs. Enrollment may or may not be required as indicated below:

Gallagher Special Risk International Travel Insurance

Effective August 1, 2019, the University of Illinois System will pay the fee for faculty and staff who enroll their university-related travel in the Gallagher Special Risk International Travel Insurance program. This program provides comprehensive international health insurance with zero deductibles or co-pay, plus other travel related services. For more information and enrollment instructions contact:

The Hartford offers travel assistance through Europ Assistance USA

Europ Assistance USA provides toll-free emergency assistance to employees and their dependents with pre-trip information, emergency medical assistance, emergency personal services (national or international level), and Identity Theft Assistance.
