Banner Index Codes

The Grants and Contracts Office has established index codes for departments to use as a shortcut for grant-related transactions. Grant index codes, which have the same value as the grant code, are alphanumeric codes that begin with a letter from A-M. The letter is assigned based on the campus and type of grant. The next four digits are numeric. The sixth digit is used for additional identification when there are multiple funds related to a grant. Grant index code titles begin with the three-digit department level organization code, then the grant fund number, and finally a short description of the grant fund.

To find a list of current Index Codes, log in to Mobius View (formerly View Direct). Under the "Topic" section, select "FOAPALRPTS - FOAPAL Hierarchy Reports". Select a Chart, then open the report "FIFGRACCI".
