Who’s Eligible for Certification?

The OBFS Certification Program is for unit support staff and business managers who perform business transactions or operations. Any employee who performs either of these, and has their supervisor's approval, is eligible to be certified. Employees must be nominated by their supervisor and approved by the Selection Committee in order to participate in a cohort.

An employee must be nominated and approved separately for different certification tracks.

Eligibility Criteria

  • College unit staff who perform the processes being certified are eligible to be nominated.
  • OBFS staff who support the processes being certified are eligible to be nominated.
  • Certain certification tracks may have additional eligibility criteria, to be determined.

Certification Requirements

To become certified, an employee must:

  • Be eligible to participate
  • Be nominated by their supervisor and approved by the Selection Committee to participate in a cohort, or apply with supervisor's approval to participate in a self-paced certification track
  • Complete all courses for certification track
  • Take assessment and pass with 80%

Different certification tracks may have additional requirements.
