Locking and Unlocking Levels

A lock is a setting that a higher-level organization uses to prevent users in lower-level organizations from changing their budgets. Locks cascade to all lower-level organizations. Organizations may also be locked and unlocked individually. When you lock and unlock organizations in a sequence, you control and logically route when budgets are entered.

You can lock or unlock organizations lower than your authorization level as long as your organization is unlocked. When your organization is locked, you cannot change lock statuses.
