Saving a Personal Query

If you expect to frequently query for the same information, you can save all the repeated parameters once as a personal query. You can create and save queries interchangeably for Organization Hierarchy, Line Item Detail, and the Budget Worksheet.

To save a personal query, choose your query or worksheet and enter all its criteria as you normally would. Before you submit the query, complete these steps:

  1. Type a title for the query in the Save Query As field.
  2. Verify that the Shared check box is unchecked.
  3. Click the Submit button.

Here are three reasons why should you save your queries as personal versus shared:

  • Only you can change your personal query.
  • Personal query names cannot be duplicated, which makes the query list shorter than if both personal and shared queries were listed.
  • There is no tool for deleting, grouping, or otherwise managing saved queries.
