State of Illinois Hotel Discounts
For hotels within Illinois, the State has negotiated rates, not including tax, that are lower than the maximum lodging allowance. Employees should review the State Hotel Discounts for available hotels and special rates and attempt to obtain this lower rate before reserving a room at the maximum lodging allowance rate.
Campus Area Hotels
Many campus area hotels offer rooms at or below the state maximum lodging allowance, depending on availability. Following is a list of hotels for each campus that offer the State rate.
The listed hotels allocate a portion of their rooms to be booked at the state rate. To ensure that a room can be booked at the state rate, book the room as far in advance as possible. If the state rate is not available on a hotel's online booking Web site, call the hotel, identify yourself as a University employee and request the state rate.
