OfficeMax is the primary provider of office products for the University of Illinois. This agreement was made through the Illinois Public Higher Education Cooperative (IPHEC) for all State of Illinois universities. Due to the increased buying volume offered through IPHEC, this agreement offers lower prices and improved service to campus customers. With OfficeMax, campus departments realize a net cost savings that are the result of a combination of lower prices and improved shipping terms. In addition, departments have guaranteed next day campus delivery. This service provides a "stockless office" concept to the University, allowing departments fast access to a large array of quality merchandise. Other important benefits of the agreement are:

"No hassle" returns policy. Return shipping and restocking fees are waived for items returned unused within 30 days - regardless of the reason for the return (even if the item was ordered in error).

Promotional pricing. Promotional prices lower than the contract price will be passed along to the University.

Availability of new items. As new items are added to OfficeMax's product offerings, campus users are able to buy these new items at the same discount levels.

Contract discounts. Additional item discounts are available each year of the agreement if IPHEC purchases reach pre-established dollar volume benchmarks.

Springfield Campus
Office supply products required for the Springfield campus are available for purchase from the OfficeMax punch-out catalog that is available in iBuy. All OfficeMax items ordered in iBuy for the Springfield campus are delivered to UIS Central Receiving. UIS Receiving/Campus Stores personnel deliver OfficeMax orders to campus departments on the same business day or by the following business day.

Urbana Campus
OfficeMax items are available through iBuy. Deliveries are made to Campus Stores (a "master campus location"), and Campus Stores delivers to the departments. Orders placed by 4:00 p.m. are delivered to campus departments the following business day. This gives departments the equivalent service of "desktop" ordering (ordering directly through OfficeMax), without associated extra cost. Also, the delivery of OfficeMax products through a master location helps limit delivery traffic and congestion on campus.
