Welcome to the University of Illinois Springfield. The Office of Business and Financial Services is ready to assist and provide you with the tools required to become effective, dynamic business and finance employees. The goal of this orientation is to provide you with the resources and contacts that you will need to help you navigate University business policies and procedures. The Getting Started page is a guide to information about University business processes, business tasks, business policies, business systems and training and networking opportunities.
The OBFS Web Site is a critical repository of information and the main communication tool used by OBFS units. I would encourage you to take advantage of the web-based and in-person training opportunities listed on the OBFS Training Center page soon and practice.
The Director of UIS Business Services conducts Business Managers Meetings approximately six times during the year. These meetings are information sessions to inform our employees with business and finance responsibilities about new business policies or programs that are in the planning stage, as well as bi-monthly forums to answer your questions and solicit comments about current OBFS processes. It is important that all UIS employees who interface with any OBFS business function become a part of this group. Please contact Beth Gorsich to become a member of the UIS Business Managers Group. We look forward to your attendance at the meetings.
