What to do if...

An i-card or ID card is lost

Report the lost card to your campus ID Center. Outside of regular ID Center hours, contact campus police who will deactivate your card.

If the card was linked to a TCF bank account, notify the bank.

An i-card or ID card is stolen

Contact your campus ID Center and your campus police.

If the card was linked to a TCF bank account, notify the bank.

An i-card or ID card is turned in to your unit

Contact your campus ID Center.

You swipe your card and it doesn’t work

Visit your ID Center, so staff can verify your card is not damaged or faulty. If your unit has repeated problems at its card reader(s), contact i-card Program’s Help Desk for advice.

You observe incorrect or fraudulent use

A University unit may ask to see IDs for services. Units may hold or confiscate any University ID they believe is stolen, being misused, expired, or invalid. Under those circumstances, send the confiscated card to your campus ID Center and refer the cardholder to them.
